In 1855 Isambard Kingdom Brunel designed a hospital for the Crimean War that shipped in parts and went up at Renkioi. It was planned around light, air and drainage, and lost far fewer patients than the hospital at Scutari.
A hospice's back office works best the same way: every part in its place, off one corridor. The mark is the hospital's plan, and Strauss and Walsh are two of its wards.
