Watanabe
Held up from both sides.
A scholarship organisation's platform. Families apply, schools confirm a seat, donors fund it, and every award is paid straight to the school.
The real product, with made-up people.

A crossing, checked from every side.
Each part ties a student to a family, a school and a fund, so an award is ready only when all three are.
- 01Applications
One household, one or more students. Income checked against the program's limit, documents verified, a need band from the intake score.
- 02School confirmation
The school confirms a seat and enters tuition and fees, or says a student isn't enrolled. It never sees a family's income.
- 03Awards and funds
An amount per student, capped by the seat, the need band and the school's fund. Granting commits the money.
- 04Payments
Batches paid to schools, never to families. Whoever prepares a batch can't approve it.
- 05Three portals
Families follow their application, schools confirm seats, donors give and keep their receipts.
“Your application is complete. The school will confirm a seat next.”
Watanabe talks like a patient teacher: plain words, one next step at a time. A seal lands only when something is final, and only the one decision waiting on you is marked.
Kaichi Watanabe, one of Japan's first engineering graduates, crossed the world to study in Glasgow and went home to build railways. In the 1887 photograph that explained the Forth Bridge, he sits in the middle, held up by the men on either side.
The mark is that human cantilever: a student held up by a donor on one side and a school on the other. The first character of his name, 渡, means to cross. A scholarship is a crossing too.
